Sacrifice

Sacrifice is the final studio album by the British heavy metal band Motörhead, released in 1995. Emerging from a period of significant transition for the band, the record marked the return of a leaner, four-piece lineup featuring Lemmy Kilmister, Phil Campbell, Würzel, and Mikkey Dee. The album was conceived as a deliberate return to the aggressive, stripped-back sound of the band's earlier work, intended to demonstrate a renewed focus on raw energy and instrumental precision.

The album's title and thematic content reflect the band's long-standing fascination with dark, uncompromising imagery and their survivalist ethos within the music industry. Musically, the work was received by critics as a revitalization of the group’s sound, praised for its tight production and the complex interplay between the guitarists and drummer Mikkey Dee. While it did not achieve massive commercial peaks, it remains a definitive entry in their catalog, representing the final collaborative studio effort of the Campbell-Würzel guitar duo.
