Saint☆Onii-san began as a popular manga series by Hikaru Nakamura, which humorously depicts Jesus Christ and Gautama Buddha living as roommates in a modern apartment in Tachikawa, Tokyo. The 2012 original video animation was produced by A-1 Pictures to adapt the lighthearted, slice-of-life tone of the source material.
