It premiered in 2018, emerging as a breakout hit within the burgeoning Chinese animation industry. The narrative follows Seven, an amnesiac hairdresser who works as a low-rent assassin to pay off his debts, blending slapstick humor with stylized action sequences that pay homage to classic martial arts cinema.

The series was created and directed by He Xiaofeng, who sought to blend traditional Chinese cultural aesthetics with a modern, fast-paced comedic rhythm. Its distinct visual style—characterized by fluid, expressive animation and a minimalist color palette—earned it significant critical acclaim, including a nomination for the Best Animated Feature at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival, helping it gain international recognition through its distribution on global streaming platforms.
