Where it came from
Secret Jouju, known in South Korea as Jouju, is a long-running magical girl franchise produced by Young Toys and animated by studios including Pierce Visual Works. The Bijou of Star represents a thematic iteration within the brand's expansive product line, which focuses on dolls, accessories, and animated content designed to appeal to young children through themes of friendship, magic, and fashion.
The design of the Bijou of Star reflects the franchise's evolution from a traditional doll brand into a sophisticated multimedia property. By integrating elements of fantasy and sparkle-heavy aesthetics, the production team aimed to capture the attention of a demographic interested in aspirational, character-driven storytelling. The series and its accompanying merchandise have been well-received within the South Korean market, solidifying the franchise as a staple of contemporary children's entertainment.
