A tale of forbidden lust based on the popular Japanese Hentai game Mi Da Ra.
When a young man named Yuuto bumps into a stranger on the street, he discovers a dropped VHS tape and brings it home. His sister Yumi isn't around, so he pops it in for a look. The video is a recording of Yumi tied to a chair ...and shockingly the man who tied her up turns out to be him!
It turns out the tape is a window into the secret desires of the viewer, and Yuuto's quickly addicted! Yumi also discovers her own fantasies on the cassette, and her burning lust cannot be quelled by conventional means! Finally, when his sister's friend discovers the tape, she finds herself on her knees with Yumi and attending to Master Yuuto's every need as his personal love slave.

Where it came from
Secret Desires: Passions of the Midara was released in 2002 as an adult-oriented original video animation produced by Studio Jam. Emerging during a period when the market for niche, independent adult animation was expanding in Japan, the title was designed to cater to viewers interested in the supernatural fantasy and romance genres that were gaining traction within the OVA format at the turn of the millennium.
The production utilized a character-focused design aesthetic common to the era's smaller studios, prioritizing expressive illustration and atmospheric world-building to distinguish itself in a crowded direct-to-video market. While the title remains a footnote in the broader landscape of 2000s adult animation, it is remembered as part of an experimental wave of productions that prioritized distinct narrative themes over large-scale commercial distribution.
