A letter arrives at Death Cram School. Inside is a an invitation to a spa resort.
Yumi declares to the four excited girls that, "No. This is evil itself," points out that they are slacking off too much. Shiki proposes, "When opinions are divided, it's time for boob rock-paper-scissors!" and then wins so they all go to the pool.
There, girls from Hanzoo Academy, Homura Crimson Squad, and Hebijo Clandestine Girls' Academy also come, but Asuka says, "Let's have fun together today" and they call a temporary truce.
However, a trivial matter sets off a sour quarrel and, at Yumi's suggestion, they settle it with a showdown in the style of the ancient shinobi.

Where it came from
Senran Kagura: Estival Versus - Festival Eve Full of Swimsuits was released in 2015 as an original video animation accompanying the limited edition release of the video game Senran Kagura: Estival Versus. Produced by Media Factory, the OVA serves as a lighthearted, narrative expansion of the franchise's established universe, focusing on the comedic and fanservice-oriented interactions of the series' core cast of shinobi students during a summer festival setting.
The production leans heavily into the signature visual style of the series, emphasizing character-driven humor and the vibrant, high-energy aesthetic defined by character designer Nan Yaegashi. While the series is often noted for its provocative presentation, this specific OVA was designed to bridge the gap between the game's high-stakes combat and the more relaxed, character-building moments popular with the established fanbase, receiving a reception largely consistent with the niche expectations of the Senran Kagura audience.
