Shen Zai Jiong Tu

Shen Zai Jiong Tu, produced by the animation studio Soyep, represents a notable entry in the landscape of Chinese original net animation (ONA). Developed as an episodic digital series, the project was crafted to explore contemporary themes within an animated format, catering to the growing domestic audience for streaming-exclusive content. The production reflects the studio's broader efforts to integrate modern stylistic sensibilities with accessible, narrative-driven storytelling typical of the mid-2010s Chinese internet culture.

The visual design and animation direction of the series were executed by the Soyep creative team, who focused on a streamlined aesthetic optimized for web distribution. By prioritizing clear character archetypes and energetic pacing, the creators aimed to capture the attention of younger digital-native viewers. While it remains a niche production, its reception is characterized by its role as a representative example of independent digital animation studios experimenting with serialized online storytelling before the industry-wide surge in high-budget streaming titles.
