Where it came from
Shin Shinka no Mi: Shiranai Uchi ni Kachigumi Jinsei, often referred to as The Fruit of Evolution, originated as a light novel series written by Miku and illustrated by U35. Following the success of the 2021 television anime adaptation produced by feel. and Children's Playground Entertainment, a sequel project titled Shin Shinka no Mi Gekijou was developed to continue the comedic fantasy narrative of Hiiragi Seiichi.
The 2022 project maintains the series' characteristic blend of isekai tropes and absurd humor, focusing on the protagonist's unconventional journey toward self-actualization. While the animation style builds upon the established aesthetic of the first season, the production leans into the heightened, episodic nature of the franchise, aiming to expand the reach of the original web novel source material to a broader international digital audience.
