Shinshaku Sengoku Eiyuu Densetsu: Sanada Juu Yuushi

Released in 2005 by the animation studio Magic Bus, Shinshaku Sengoku Eiyuu Densetsu: Sanada Juu Yuushi is a specialized anime production centered on the legendary Sanada Ten Braves. The project was created to revitalize the classic Japanese folklore surrounding Sanada Yukimura and his loyal band of warriors, placing them within the high-stakes political landscape of the Sengoku period. By utilizing a distinct visual style common to the mid-2000s, the production sought to bridge traditional historical drama with the burgeoning anime trends of the era, aiming to appeal to enthusiasts of period-piece action.

The production design reflects Magic Bus's established approach to character-driven storytelling, focusing on intricate armor details and the kinetic choreography of the samurai battles. While the release was intended to provide a fresh take on these historical archetypes, it remained a niche entry within the competitive landscape of historical anime. It is remembered today primarily for its dedication to the specific lore of the Sanada clan, reflecting the enduring Japanese fascination with the tragic hero Yukimura Sanada and his legendary companions.
