After being informed of his mother's demise, Kengo returns to the hometown he had left seven years ago. There, he is reunited with a number of young girls, his half-sisters by his father's mistresses. These girls have never been allowed out of the house, and have developed a fear of the outside. Kengo confronts his father in order to free the girls, but he is still terrified of the man.

Where it came from
Shoujo x Shoujo x Shoujo THE ANIMATION was released in 2012 as an original video animation (OVA) by Pink Pineapple, a studio prominently established within the adult animation sector. The production emerged during a period when the studio was heavily focused on adapting niche manga titles into short-form animated content, catering to a specific demographic seeking stylized, character-driven narratives within the independent adult anime market.
The project followed the visual conventions typical of mid-2010s Pink Pineapple releases, prioritizing character design fidelity and a concise, episodic structure. As a smaller-scale production, it received little mainstream critical attention upon its debut, serving primarily as a commercial entry in the studio's extensive back catalog for established fans of their house style and thematic consistency.
