Shu Ling Ji

Shu Ling Ji is a web-based animated production from the Chinese studio Soyep, released in the context of the growing market for high-quality domestic 3D animation in China. The series follows the stylistic trends of modern Chinese fantasy, utilizing advanced CGI techniques to render intricate character designs and elaborate mythological landscapes that have become a hallmark of Soyep's portfolio.

The production sought to blend traditional cultural motifs with contemporary storytelling tropes, aiming to capture the attention of a younger demographic accustomed to high-fidelity animation. While specific design credits for the lead animation team are often kept within the studio's internal hierarchy, the series is generally regarded for its polished visual consistency and its effort to elevate the production values typically found in the shorter-format ONA landscape.
