Sono Hanabira ni Kuchizuke wo: Reo x Mai Diaries

Sono Hanabira ni Kuchizuke wo: Reo x Mai Diaries was produced by the studio ChuChu in 2009 as part of a multimedia franchise that began as a series of visual novels. The franchise is recognized for its focus on the yuri genre, exploring intimate relationships within a boarding school setting. This particular release served to expand the narrative presence of the characters Reo and Mai, who were central figures in the series' ongoing exploration of developing romances.

The production follows the established aesthetic of the ChuChu visual novel adaptations, characterized by a soft, pastel-toned art style intended to emphasize the delicate and sentimental nature of the storytelling. The design work remained consistent with the original game illustrations, aiming to maintain a sense of continuity for the established fanbase. Upon release, it was received primarily as a niche product designed to cater to enthusiasts of the visual novel source material rather than as a mainstream animation project.
