Where it came from
Sora no Method: Mou Hitotsu no Negai, also known as the 'Another Wish' episode, was produced by Studio 3Hz and released in 2019 to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the original Sora no Method anime series. Directed by Masayuki Sakoi, the short served as an epilogue to the original narrative, reuniting the central cast and revisiting the themes of memory, connection, and the mysterious saucer that looms over the town of Lake Kiriya.
The animation reflects the aesthetic established in the 2014 series, emphasizing the serene, rural atmosphere of the Hokkaido-inspired setting while refining character designs to maintain visual consistency with the original. It was received by the fanbase as a poignant, nostalgic coda that sought to provide further closure for the characters Nonoka and Noel, specifically focusing on the lingering emotional impact of their shared experiences.
