Survival

Survival was released by Horipro, a prominent Japanese talent agency and production company, to showcase the versatility of their managed talent. It emerged during a period in the late 20th and early 21st centuries when Japanese entertainment firms frequently produced multimedia projects to cross-promote their artists across music, television, and print media. The project was crafted to capture the specific aesthetic sensibilities favored by Horipro's creative team, emphasizing high-production values and carefully curated imagery intended to resonate with a dedicated domestic fan base.

The design of the collection centers on a polished, professional presentation that reflects the rigorous standards of the Japanese idol and talent industry. By commissioning top-tier photographers and creative directors, Horipro aimed to create a cohesive visual narrative that solidified the public brand identity of the featured talent. Upon its release, it was received as a standard but high-quality entry in the company's extensive catalog, appreciated by collectors for its technical execution and the specific era of Japanese pop culture it documents.
