Synduality Noir

Synduality Noir emerged in 2023 as part of a cross-media project spearheaded by Bandai Namco. Set in a post-apocalyptic world ravaged by the New Moon Tears, the series was designed to weave together anime storytelling, video game mechanics, and toy lines, placing a heavy focus on the symbiotic relationship between humans and artificial intelligence entities known as Magus. The project was conceived as an ambitious attempt to integrate interactive entertainment with traditional animation, utilizing the creative direction of Bandai Namco Filmworks to build a cohesive, lore-heavy universe.

The character designs and the aesthetic of the Cradle Coffins were meticulously crafted to evoke a sense of gritty, high-stakes exploration within a dangerous environment. The production team aimed to balance the emotional intimacy of the protagonist and his partner, Noir, with the industrial, mechanical urgency of the combat sequences. Upon release, the series garnered attention for its ambitious world-building and distinct visual style, serving as the central narrative pillar for a broader ecosystem of products intended to immerse viewers in the harsh reality of Amasia.
