Teekyuu 9

Teekyuu 9 serves as the ninth season of the rapid-fire comedy anime series adapted from the manga by Roots and Piyo. Released in 2017 and animated by Studio Millepensee, the season maintains the series' trademark frenetic pacing, condensing the high-energy, nonsensical adventures of the Kameido High School Tennis Club into short-form episodes. The production was directed by Shin Itagaki, who became synonymous with the show's style by utilizing ultra-fast dialogue and surreal visual gags to reflect the absurdist tone of the source material.

The design of the series is defined by its intentional lack of traditional tennis focus, instead favoring a chaotic interplay between the four main protagonists. By 2017, the series had established a niche but dedicated following, celebrated for its unique structural rhythm that defied standard television narrative conventions. The reception remains reflective of its roots as a web-manga adaptation, praised by fans for its technical density and commitment to its high-octane, unconventional brand of humor.
