The nation of Tempest is in a festive mood after successfully overcoming the surprise attack from the Falmuth Army and the Western Holy Church. Beyond the festivities lies a meeting between Tempest and its allies to decide the future of the Nation of Monsters. The aftermath of the Falmuth invasion, Milim Nava's suspicious behavior, and the disappearance of Demon Lord Carrion—the problems seem to keep on piling up.
Rimuru Tempest, now awakened as a "True Demon Lord," decides to go on the offensive against Clayman. With the fully revived "Storm Dragon" Veldora, "Ultimate Skill" Raphael, and other powerful comrades, the ruler of the Tempest is confident in taking down his enemies one by one until he can face the man pulling the strings.

Where it came from
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 2 Part 2 was produced by Studio 8-bit and aired in 2021 as the continuation of the series' second season. The anime is based on the light novel series written by Fuse and illustrated by Mitz Vah, which originated as a web novel on the user-generated publishing site Shōsetsuka ni Narō. The transition to the screen allowed for the expansion of the franchise's world-building, specifically focusing on Rimuru Tempest's rise to power as a Demon Lord within the Jura Tempest Federation.
The visual direction for the second season aimed to balance the series' signature lighthearted fantasy tropes with the escalating political and martial conflicts of the narrative. Studio 8-bit utilized a blend of traditional animation and digital effects to capture the scale of the battles and the evolution of the various monster races. Upon its release, the series was well-received by fans of the isekai genre, garnering praise for its steady pacing and the complexity of its growing ensemble cast.
