Where it came from
There's Something Wrong with This Company...! is a 2021 original net animation produced by the boutique studio Bomb! Cute! Bomb!. Released during a period when the studio was exploring absurdist workplace humor, the short serves as a stylistic experiment in character-driven comedy. It captures the frantic, often surreal environment of modern corporate culture through an exaggerated lens, aiming to resonate with viewers familiar with the stressors of contemporary professional life.
The production relies on a highly kinetic visual style, prioritizing fluid, expressive movement to emphasize the central characters' escalating frustration. By leaning into a vibrant, high-contrast aesthetic, the creators sought to create a distinct identity for the studio's early catalog. Upon release, the work was noted by industry observers for its concise, punchy storytelling and the technical proficiency of its animation team, establishing a template for the studio's subsequent comedic ventures.
