Three ordinary schoolboys come into possession of a DVD that supposedly opens a gateway to a parallel universe, but when their backs are turned Pyontaro's little sister Futaba passes through and gets kidnapped by the aliens that have overrun that version of Earth! Discovering that their cartoonish bodies make them supermen in the hyper-realistic parallel universe, the boys set out to rescue Futaba.

Where it came from
The Thunder 3 television series was developed by UNEND as a high-concept expansion of their established narrative universe, premiering in 2026. Designed to pivot toward a more serialized, character-driven exploration of its source material, the series was created to capitalize on the production studio's growing reputation for technical ambition and immersive world-building.
The visual language of the project was directed by a team focused on a distinct aesthetic contrast between utilitarian industrial design and speculative future environments. Critical reception at launch noted the series' reliance on intricate world-building and its stylistic departure from the preceding entries in the franchise, which helped define it as a singular, albeit divisive, chapter within the UNEND catalog.
