TIME DRIVER: Bokura ga Kaita Mirai

Time Driver: Bokura ga Kaita Mirai was produced by the studio Imagica and released in 2018 as a short animated film. It was commissioned by the Japanese government's Cabinet Office as part of an initiative to promote the 'Cool Japan' strategy, specifically aimed at encouraging youth interest in science, technology, and the future of innovation. The production sought to blend traditional anime aesthetics with a narrative centered on the importance of passion and visionary thinking in driving societal progress.

The film's design reflects the sleek, optimistic visual language typical of mid-2010s Japanese promotional animation. While the project was intended to serve as a high-production-value outreach tool for students, it garnered attention for its polished character designs and concise storytelling. Upon its release, the film was primarily distributed through educational channels and screening events, positioning it as a distinct entry in the genre of government-sponsored public outreach media.
