This is a world where heroes are created by people's trust, and the hero who gains the most trust is known as X. In this world, people's trust can be quantified through data, and these values are reflected on everyone's wrist. As long as one gains enough trust points, an ordinary person can possess superpowers and become a superhero who saves the world. However, the constantly changing trust values make the path of a hero full of uncertainties...

Where it came from
To Be Hero X is a high-octane ONA series produced by the Chinese animation studio BeDream. It represents a significant evolution in the studio's portfolio, building upon the surreal and comedic foundations of the original To Be Hero series while shifting toward a more intense, action-oriented aesthetic that blends hyper-stylized sequences with thoughtful thematic depth.
The series is celebrated for its distinctive visual identity, which prioritizes kinetic energy and experimental character design over traditional, fluid realism. BeDream’s creative team sought to push the technical boundaries of web-distributed animation, resulting in a project that is frequently cited by enthusiasts for its bold use of color and unconventional narrative structure.
