Where it came from
Undead is a creative property originating from Ijigen TOKYO, a Japanese creative studio recognized for its focus on multimedia projects that blend digital art, character design, and storytelling. The title emerged during a period of significant growth in the Japanese transmedia market, where studios sought to cultivate immersive brand identities that extended across social platforms, animation, and digital collectibles.
The aesthetic design behind Undead emphasizes a stark, stylized approach to character iconography, balancing macabre themes with modern, high-fashion sensibilities. By leveraging the expertise of digital illustrators and animators within the Ijigen TOKYO network, the project was crafted to appeal to collectors of contemporary pop-culture artifacts, gaining recognition for its atmospheric world-building and distinct visual vocabulary within the broader landscape of Tokyo-based digital design houses.
