Billy betrays the Union and seizes the Round Table. Amidst a blizzard caused by UMA Winter, he receives a report on the Autumn battle and learns Undead and Unluck are evolving. Juiz appears, revealing to him that the artifacts are weapons meant to defeat God and that the Ark can only perform one more loop. She urges Billy to join forces once more and stake everything on Unluck to achieve their shared goal: “defeat God.” However, Billy declares that they cannot work together. Juiz realizes Billy’s true intention—to obtain Ark and Apocalypse—but before she can act, Billy drags them into a brutal clash involving UMAs on both sides.

Where it came from
The Winter Arc special serves as a narrative bridge in the anime adaptation of the manga series Undead Unluck, produced by David Production. Released in 2025, this special was crafted to adapt a pivotal segment of the source material that explores the seasonal rules governing the series' world, maintaining the studio's established visual style that blends high-energy action with the distinctive character designs conceptualized by Yoshino Togashi.
The production sought to balance the dark, existential themes of the Undead Unluck universe with the vibrant, imaginative aesthetic that has defined the series since its initial 2023 debut. As part of an expanding media franchise, the arc was designed to provide deeper context for the series' lore, receiving attention for its faithful translation of the manga's complex paneling and kinetic combat sequences into an animated medium.
