Viper's Creed

Viper's Creed was produced by AIC and Sony Pictures Entertainment, debuting in 2009 as part of a creative push to blend high-octane military action with speculative science fiction. The series is set in a future city called Fort Daidōji, where private military companies maintain order amidst the decay of societal structures. The production team aimed to capture a gritty, tactical aesthetic, utilizing 3D CGI integration to render the signature armored suits and combat vehicles that define the series' visual identity.

The character design was spearheaded by Koji Ogata, who brought a sleek, utilitarian sensibility to the protagonists, known as the Viper Unit. While the series attempted to distinguish itself through its focus on professional mercenary operations rather than traditional hero tropes, it received mixed critical reception upon release. Critics noted the ambition of the technical animation but often debated the balance between the show's philosophical undertones and its heavy reliance on mechanical combat sequences.
