Wanmei Shijie Movie: Huo Zhi Huijin

Wanmei Shijie, or Perfect World, originated as a popular web novel by Chen Dong before being adapted into a long-running 3D animated series produced by Foch Film and TV Culture Investment. The ONA format allowed the studio to lean heavily into high-fidelity 3D modeling and dynamic martial arts sequences, which became a hallmark of their aesthetic. Huo Zhi Huijin serves as a specialized movie installment within this narrative, expanding on the lore of the protagonist, Shi Hao, and his journey through the mystical realms.

The production design focuses on xianxia-inspired visuals, utilizing sophisticated motion capture and particle effects to represent elemental magic and cultivation techniques. Foch’s approach to the design was intended to bridge the gap between traditional Chinese fantasy literature and modern cinematic animation techniques, aiming for a grand, immersive scale. The work was met with significant attention from the domestic streaming audience, who have come to expect a consistent, high-budget visual standard from the franchise’s expanding filmography.
