When Su Baiyi was rescuing him, the Shanglin Celestial Palace disintegrated, and Su Baiyi was taken away by Su Jian, the Demon Lord who had voluntarily confined himself in the secluded prison for twenty years. Then the Hero Conference of Xuanwei Town is held again, Bai Jile lures Divine Official Xue, the second-best martial artist in the world to participate, plunging the martial arts world into chaos. In order to save the injured Nangong Xi'er, Su Baiyi went to the North Kunlun with Su Jian to pay a visit to Su Suomo, the ancestor of the Su family, while Yuling and Feng Zuojun respectively headed to Qingcheng Mountain and the Demon Town to learn martial arts. Under the latent tension, the Yingzhou Immortal Island reappeared. The invaders from the island issued a provocation to the martial artists, saying that those who submit will prosper, while those who resist will perish...

Where it came from
Word of Honor 2nd Season, also known as Shan He Ling, originated from the popular Chinese danmei web novel Faraway Wanderers by Priest. Produced by Passion Paint Animation, this ONA adaptation was developed as a continuation of the franchise’s visual storytelling, aiming to capture the intricate character dynamics and wuxia aesthetic that define the source material. It reflects the broader trend of high-budget Chinese animated adaptations focusing on complex emotional narratives and period-accurate character designs.
The production team at Passion Paint Animation sought to refine the stylistic choices established in the initial run, focusing on fluid action sequences and the nuanced interplay between the two leads. Upon release, the series was received as a significant entry in the domestic animation market, praised for its commitment to the lore of the original novel while navigating the challenges of transitioning a literary work into a serialized animated format.
