Xian Yu Ge Specials

Xian Yu Ge Specials are a collection of short-form animated vignettes produced by 717 Studio. These specials serve as supplementary material to the larger Xian Yu Ge franchise, designed to expand upon the world-building and character dynamics established in the primary ONA series. Produced during the rise of Chinese web animation, these shorts reflect the industry's shift toward creating highly stylized, bite-sized content tailored for streaming platforms and social media engagement.

The visual language of these specials leans heavily into traditional Chinese aesthetic influences combined with modern digital art techniques. 717 Studio focused on a refined, ethereal art style intended to highlight the introspective nature of the characters. While the specials were produced as a niche companion to the main narrative, they were generally well-received by the existing fanbase for maintaining the technical quality of the parent series while offering a more relaxed, atmospheric viewing experience.
