Where it came from
YuruYuri Nachuyachumi!+ consists of a two-part special released in 2015, serving as a direct continuation of the Nachuyachumi! film. Produced by TYO Animations, these episodes were designed to bridge the gap between the film and the third season of the anime series, YuruYuri San Hai!. The project maintained the franchise's established focus on the lighthearted daily lives of the Amusement Club members, expanding on the character dynamics introduced in the original manga by Namori.
The production team, led by director Hiroyuki Hata, aimed to preserve the signature aesthetic and comedic timing that fans associated with the series. By adapting specific chapters of the source material that were previously skipped or served as essential connective tissue, the special was received as a necessary addition for series completionists. It solidified the production's transition to a slightly more refined visual style while staying true to the established tone of the preceding seasons.
