Azure Roller

The Azure Roller, scientifically identified as Eurystomus azureus, is a distinct species of bird within the Coraciidae family. Endemic to the northern regions of the Maluku Islands in Indonesia, it occupies a specialized ecological niche in lowland forests and forest edges. Its existence is characterized by a specific evolutionary adaptation to its tropical environment, featuring a robust, broad-winged structure that facilitates maneuverability amidst dense canopy cover and a rounded tail that aids in precision flight patterns during foraging.
