Buff-breasted Babbler

The Buff-breasted Babbler (Pellorneum tickelli) was formally described by the ornithologist Edward Blyth in 1859, named in honor of Colonel Samuel Tickell, a British officer and naturalist who conducted extensive bird surveys in India and Burma. The species belongs to the Pellorneidae family, a diverse group of ground-dwelling passerines primarily found in the dense undergrowth of South and Southeast Asian forests.
