Crested Auklet

The Crested Auklet, Aethia cristatella, is a small seabird native to the northern Pacific Ocean, particularly the Bering Sea. Evolutionarily adapted to high-latitude marine environments, these birds were formally described in the late 18th century as part of the broader taxonomic classification of North Pacific alcids.
