Crested Duck

The crested duck, known scientifically as Lophonetta specularioides, is a species native to the wetlands and coastal regions of South America. Evolutionarily, its distinctive physical characteristics, including its broad wings and rounded tail, have been shaped by the demands of maneuvering through the diverse aquatic environments of the Andes and the southern reaches of Patagonia.
