Dusky-legged Guan

The Dusky-legged Guan, Penelope obscura, is a member of the Cracidae family native to the humid forests of southeastern Brazil, Paraguay, and northeastern Argentina. Taxonomically described in the 19th century, this species occupies a specific ecological niche within the Atlantic Forest, relying on mid-canopy vegetation for both sustenance and shelter.
