Eastern Warbling Vireo

The Eastern Warbling Vireo (Vireo gilvus) is a migratory songbird native to North America, identified and described by taxonomist Louis Jean Pierre Vieillot in 1808. Its common name is derived from the male's distinct, continuous, and flute-like song, which is often heard emanating from the high canopy of deciduous trees.
