Flying Steamer-Duck

The Flying Steamer-Duck, Tachyeres patachonicus, is a remarkable waterfowl native to the southern extremes of South America, primarily inhabiting the lakes and coastal waters of Patagonia. Unlike its flightless relatives, this species retains the ability to take to the air, a trait that sets it apart within the Tachyeres genus.
