Grassland Yellow-Finch

The Grassland Yellow-Finch, Sicalis luteola, is a passerine bird native to a vast range of open habitats across South America and the Caribbean. It was formally described by the naturalist Anders Sparrman in 1789, emerging from the era of taxonomic classification when European naturalists were cataloging the biodiversity of the New World.
