Japanese Grosbeak

The Japanese grosbeak, known scientifically as Eophona personata, is a passerine bird native to the temperate forests of East Asia, primarily inhabiting Japan, the Korean Peninsula, and parts of Northeast China. Historically, these birds have been observed in mixed forests where they utilize their distinctive, heavy yellow bills to crack open seeds and nuts.
