Minahasa Masked-Owl

The Minahasa Masked-Owl, or Tyto inexspectata, is a rare raptor endemic to the island of Sulawesi in Indonesia. First described by German ornithologist Hermann Schlegel in 1879, the species represents a fascinating chapter in island biogeography.
