Moltoni's Warbler

Moltoni's Warbler, scientifically classified as Curruca subalpina, was historically recognized as a distinct species within the Mediterranean sylviid warbler complex. Named after Italian ornithologist Edgardo Moltoni, the bird was long categorized as a subspecies of the Subalpine Warbler until phylogenetic studies and distinct vocalization patterns led to its recognition as a separate species.
