Mountain Trogon

The Mountain Trogon, Trogon mexicanus, was formally described by the naturalist William John Swainson in 1827. It belongs to the Trogonidae family, a group of birds primarily found in tropical forests that have long fascinated ornithologists due to their brilliant plumage and specialized ecological niches.
