Orinoco Goose

The Orinoco goose, scientifically known as Oressochen jubatus, represents a distinct evolutionary lineage within the family Anatidae, native to the tropical wetlands and riverbanks of South America. Unlike most waterfowl, this species evolved to favor the open forest and savanna regions surrounding the Orinoco and Amazon basins, leading to their characteristic broad wing shape and rounded tail.
