Red-billed Pied Tanager

The Red-billed Pied Tanager, or Lamprospiza melanoleuca, is a passerine bird native to the humid forests of the Amazon basin and the Guiana Shield. Unlike the varied, brightly colored tanagers typical of the Thraupidae family, this species is defined by a striking, monochromatic plumage of velvet black and clean white, accented by its namesake bright red bill.
