Rufous-tailed Hawk

The Rufous-tailed Hawk, scientifically classified as Buteo ventralis, is a raptor species native to the temperate forests and Andean regions of Argentina and Chile. It was formally described by the ornithologist John Gould in the mid-19th century, a period marked by extensive biological exploration and the systematic cataloging of South American biodiversity.
