Tickell's Leaf Warbler

Tickell's Leaf Warbler, scientifically classified as Phylloscopus affinis, was first described by Samuel Tickell in 1833. As an inhabitant of the high-altitude shrublands and forests of the Himalayas and the Tibetan Plateau, the species occupies a distinct ecological niche. It was named in honor of the British army officer and ornithologist who documented avian diversity across the Indian subcontinent during the 19th century.

The bird is characterized by a specific morphology adapted for its migratory patterns and mountain habitat, notably its pointed wing shape and slightly notched tail.
