The White-browed Tailorbird, Orthotomus nigriceps, is a small passerine bird endemic to the Philippines, specifically inhabiting the islands of Mindanao and Dinagat. As a member of the Cisticolidae family, it shares the characteristic evolutionary adaptation of its genus: the ability to construct nests by stitching together large living leaves using spider silk, plant fibers, or insect cocoons as thread. This specialized nesting behavior provides protection from predators and elements in the dense tropical undergrowth.
