White-chinned Prinia

The white-chinned prinia, scientifically classified as Schistolais leucopogon, is a small passerine bird native to the forest edges and tangled vegetation of Central and East Africa. It was formally described by the ornithologist Jean Cabanis in 1875. The species occupies a distinct ecological niche within the Cisticolidae family, characterized by its preference for humid montane forests and dense thickets, where its rounded wings and notched tail allow for agile movement through complex foliage.
