Yellow-bellied Tyrannulet

The Yellow-bellied Tyrannulet is a member of the Tyrannidae family, a diverse group of passerine birds native to the Americas. Taxonomically described as Ornithion semiflavum, this species is indigenous to the humid lowland forests ranging from southern Mexico to western Colombia. Its physical evolution reflects a highly specialized niche as an arboreal insectivore, favoring the high canopy where its subtle coloration provides effective camouflage against dappled sunlight and foliage.
