Railway Rivals

Railway Rivals was created by David G. Watts in the early 1970s, emerging during a period when the hobby game market was increasingly interested in crayon-rail games that allowed players to physically draw routes on a map. Originally published by his own company, Watts focused the design on the tactical tension between building efficient rail networks and sabotaging opponents, relying on a unique dice-rolling mechanism to determine movement and delivery capabilities.
