A Little Book of Celtic Saints

A Little Book of Celtic Saints was published in 1995 by Irish Books & Media, emerging during a period of renewed public interest in Celtic spirituality and hagiography. Martin Wallace crafted this volume as a concise, accessible survey of the figures who shaped the early religious landscape of Ireland, Scotland, and Wales, aiming to distill complex historical and legendary narratives into an approachable format for a modern audience.

The book is notable for its deliberate aesthetic, which integrates traditional motifs to evoke the illuminated manuscripts of the medieval period. By balancing biographical sketches with a thoughtful design, the work functions as both a devotional guide and an entry point for those interested in the cultural history of the Celtic fringe. It was well-received by readers seeking an unobtrusive, literary exploration of the saints, often favored for its meditative quality and compact presentation.
