Ancêtres de Marc-André Paradis - Volume 1

Published in 2018 through the self-publishing platform Blurb, this volume serves as a genealogical chronicle compiled by Marc-André Paradis. It emerges from the growing tradition of amateur historical research and self-published family histories, where individuals curate archival documents, census records, and ancestral narratives to preserve a specific lineage for future generations. The work is representative of the modern transition toward print-on-demand publishing, allowing independent researchers to document complex family trees without the traditional barriers of commercial academic or historical presses.

The design of the book prioritizes the clear presentation of genealogical data, balancing genealogical charts with historical context relevant to the Paradis family line. As an independently produced volume, it reflects the author's personal dedication to meticulous documentation and the archival synthesis of Canadian genealogical records. The work is primarily received within private circles and genealogical repositories as a specialized reference tool rather than a mass-market publication, highlighting the importance of localized historiography in maintaining cultural memory.
